Las Vegas
Presented by comedic icon and Strip headliner of more than 25 years, Frank Marino, "Divas Las Vegas" is a 75-minute energetic and over-the-top production featuring 16 male, lady look-alikes impersonating some of music and entertainment's biggest superstars including Cher, Beyonce, Diana Ross, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Celine Dion and Tina Turner. Marino acts as the emcee for the production, portraying Joan Rivers and in a variety of her more infamous styles of decades past.
Marino's "Queens" will be decked out in flamboyant and fabulous costumes by world-renowned wardrobe designer Bob Mackie. Mackie is most famous for designing clothing and costumes for Cher, but has also created masterpieces for an impressive roster of A-list celebrities including Diana Ross, Barbra Streisand and Steve Martin.
Each of the 16 acts is set to a high-energy music medley appropriate to the individual performer. Hollywood's top set designer Andy Walmsley (creator of sets for American Idol, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire) is creating an all-new custom set that will be unveiled at the Imperial Palace in early 2010. Six of Sin City's most electrifying back up dancers round out the on-stage spectacle of "Divas Las Vegas"
"Frank Marino's Divas Las Vegas" is co-produced by Adam Steck, CEO of SPI Entertainment. Steck also produces the hit Motown tribute show, "Smokey Robinson Presents: Australia's Human Nature - The Ultimate Celebration of the Motown Sound" at the Imperial Palace.
Marino is an accomplished author, newscaster, columnist and spokesperson and often refers to himself as "America's Favorite Male Actress." In Marino's 25 years of show business, he has performed for more than ten million people and in 2005 Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman declared Feb. 1 "Frank Marino Day."
The show is dark Fridays.
