More sesquicentennial celebrations are planned than you can shake a stick at, but this one stands out as perfect timing for Father’s Day weekend. The Nevada State Parks are hosting “Discover Nevada State Parks” on Saturday, June 14.

All park visitors will receive free day-use admission, plus free fishing (no license required) at all of our 23 state parks. As an added bonus, as if visiting any of our state parks for free wasn’t cool enough, the first 150 vehicles at each park that day get a complimentary deck of commemorative Nevada Heritage playing cards provided by SPADES-215x300Nevada’s State Historic Preservation Office and its partners.
