For the 14th consecutive year, our readers have spoken. These are their favorites, or “bests,” from a Silver State smorgasbord of categories. Voting took place online from February 15 to April 15, and two lucky participants (Kathy Edwards from Carson City and Kris Kearney from Reno) won Nevada-themed book packages, plus a first-season “Bonanza” DVD set.

Ken - CVB = Convention and Visitors Bureau
@Wendy - Maybe it’s because no one knows what a CVB is. I don’t. Pray tell.
Another category is needed to name Mesquite Fine Arts Gallery the best in the state-—maybe anywhere! Local artists, wide variety of original art for sale, wonderful classroom, and amphitheater on premises. It is the community gathering place. Come see it!
Gee, Carson City has no “top-rated” places except the perennial State Museum. I thought we had a great CVB here that makes us the top-rated town in Nevada !?!?!?
