Beer lovers are invited to enjoy a night of craft brews and comedy during the return of Motley Brews’ monthly Open Container event taking place throughout the summer inside Downtown Container Park. Kicking off on Friday, June 19, Open Container allows attendees to sip more than 20 seasonal beers while laughing along to classic movie clips and hilarious shorts.

From 7 until 9:30 p.m., downtown drinkers can sample handpicked craft beers and ciders while comedy clips play on the park’s large screen located on The Stage. Breweries at the June 19 Open Container event will include Green Flash, Alpine Beer Co., Ballast Point, Tenaya Creek, Oskar Blues, Steigl, Smith & Forge, and more. Each of the monthly tastings will have a unique beer list featuring a new lineup of craft breweries from Nevada and around the nation. Following the sampling sessions, beer buffs can settle in for more entertainment under the stars with outdoor movie screenings or live music. The June 19 event will conclude with a showing of “Strange Brew.”

Tickets are on sale now for the June 19 Open Container event at OpenContainerPark.com. Priced at $20 online and $25 at the door (plus applicable fees) tickets are limited compared to Motley Brews’ larger scale events. Tickets for the July and August events will go on sale at a later date. All participants must be ages 21 and older with valid I.D. Beer samples are served in a 4-ounce open container tasting glass.
