The Lion Habitat Ranch in Henderson is home to more than 40 lions, birds, and the first baby giraffe in Nevada. However, on April 1, the reserve welcomed six new cuddly residents. In an incredibly rare event, six baby lion cubs were born to mom, Pebbels.

The Lion Habitat Ranch has been a part of the area for the past 40 years. The lions are formerly from the MGM habitat. Its expert handler, Keith Evans, has more than 44 years of experience with his “Big Cat” family.

The local non-profit zoo is located near the M-Resort Hotel and is open to the public Friday – Monday, 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and also offers private tours, parties and animal interaction.  Guests have the opportunity to hand feed Ozzie the giraffe—who just celebrated his one year birthday—as well as the lions.
