Chapel Tavern screens outdoor-adventure films
With all of the outdoor recreation provided by Mother Nature in northern Nevada, it’s a haven for thrill seekers. Beginning on Wednesday, Jan. 28, Chapel Tavern will host a monthly event dubbed Reno Wild Life (RWL) to celebrate the vast array of outdoor adventure found in the region—all to benefit nonprofits that support both the environment and those who revel in it.
On the last Wednesday evening of each month from 8-10 p.m., outdoor films featuring sports from around the area will be shown on a big screen while Chapel serves up their signature libations, craft brews, and biodynamic wines.
Raffle prizes provided by RWL event partners Patagonia, plus local outfitters related to the sport being highlighted that night, will be given away. Guests providing a minimum $5 suggested donation to the nonprofit of the evening upon entry will receive a raffle ticket; five tickets will be received for a $20 donation to the cause.
Moment Skis will be screening the Poor Boyz Productions film “Twenty” for the inaugural event. Additional offerings for January’s RWL include high-end Patagonia merchandise, a pair of Moment skis, KTHX-FM swag, plus beer lovers can try Great Basin Brewery’s limited release “Moment Deathwish” Pale Ale. Raffle proceeds that evening benefit The Nature Conservancy in Nevada.
